Charles Shewring -
CEO/Director/Facilitator

Charles Shewring is an accomplished coordinator, resource investigator and shaper and is particularly interested in assisting the community and people within it, to accomplish whatever it is that they are committed to.

In a business sense this includes training in the Sirolli Trinity of Management which maintains that there are three dimensions to a successful business “The Product” the “Marketing” and the “Financial Management”. Business owners who concentrate on doing what they love to do in the business and forming teams to do the things that they do not love to do will be advantaged in the performance and sustainability of their business.

Charles spearheads NISER’s representation with alliance partners such as the Sirolli Institute, Online Marketizing, the Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience, Community Futures Pty Ltd and various individuals, clubs, businesses, organisations and levels of government.

Charles also facilitates and trains on behalf of NISER and oversees and undertakes many Community Projects including Development Planning, Grant and Funding Applications, Sport & Community Group Development, Business Assistance Programs and assistance for those committed to achieving excellence in their committed goals.

 

John Miles – Director/IT & Online
Marketing Manager
John is an online marketer and online portal developer, working with a diverse group of organisations throughout Australia ranging from finance, academia, green tech, real estate, health & well being and human sciences. His specialty is developing online strategies for businesses who wish to take advantage of the opportunities the internet offers to grow their online business and reach a greater number of prospects whilst remaining focused on maximising ROI.

Not content with his work in online development, John is also a well seasoned graphic designer and creative director managing projects from corporate branding to radio and television advertising, magazine and retail store design, product packaging design and print production.
You’ll also find John speaking passionately about online marketing at national conferences as well as facilitating educational seminars and workshops in South East Queensland, passing on his knowledge of website design, content management systems, e-commerce, online research, online marketing & advertising and social media development.
John’s unquestionable technical expertise is rounded by his astute commercial acumen. Previously working with organisations such as Rio Tinto, Video Ezy, British Gas and Fujitsu, John has been instrumental in the development of highly successful engineering, e-commerce, creative and marketing projects. John also has significant experience not only as a Project Manager, but also as a Senior IT Advisor for Local and State Government Departments and private enterprise.
Dr. Ernesto Sirolli – Enterprise Facilitator
Italian-born, Dr. Ernesto Sirolli received a Laurea di Dottore in Political Science from Rome University in 1976 and a Ph.D. from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia in 2004. He has worked in Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.S.A. and the United Kingdom in the field of economic development.
In 1985, he pioneered in Esperance, a small rural community in Western Australia, a unique economic development approach based on harnessing the passion, determination, intelligence, and resourcefulness of the local people. The striking results of “The Esperance Experience” have prompted more than 250 communities around the world to adopt responsive, person-centered approaches to local economic development similar to the Enterprise Facilitation model pioneered in Esperance.
Enterprise Facilitation has been documented in Dr. Sirolli’s book: “Ripples from the Zambezi – Passion, Entrepreneurship and the Rebirth of the Local Economy.” Adopted as a textbook in an increasing number of academic courses in Community and Economic Development, the book has helped to introduce Enterprise Facilitation to a new generation of economic development practitioners and civic leaders interested in growing their communities from within, one passionate person at the time.
Dr. Sirolli is a noted authority in the field of sustainable economic development, and is in demand as a speaker worldwide.
Dr. Ernesto Sirolli is the Founder of the Sirolli Institute, an international nonprofit organization that teaches community leaders how to establish and maintain Enterprise Facilitation projects in their community.
Dr Guy Elston – Director
Dr Elston is a world reknown brain researcher who is committed to positively assisting people and the families of people who suffer from neurological disorders. Dr Elston is also the founding Director of the Centre Cognitive Neuroscience located at Doonan www.ccn-australia.com.au
As a researcher Dr Guy Elston undertakes groundbreaking investigations of the brain that could impact on the study of mental illnesses such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and dementia as well as the brain’s recuperative ability following injury. Dr Elston has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships for example, The James S McDonnell Foundation 21st Century “Bridging Brain Mind and Behaviour”
Research Grant worth approx $1M and his neuroscience research into how differences in the complexity of brain circuits and in different species, influence cognitive abilities has also received approx $4.8M grant from the Japanese Government.
